I live: Sydney, but originally from the Country.

I live for fun and happiness.

The family is a haven in a heartless world. 

Im Kietley, 19 and originally from the country. About 3 hours west of Sydney sits a peaceful country town that most have not heard of..."Rylstone", this is my home town.

There's no place like home.

I am half Indonesian, half Australian and proud of it!

I love my family and my work.
I love the beach, Shopping and Summer Time.
I love to go out and have an awesome time with friends and laugh about it the next day!

I moved to Sydney to further my study of Media and Communications/Journalism with hopes to oneday become a successfull News reporter.

With every negative, I turn it positive and use it as motivation, determination and strength!

I believe in KARMA: What goes around comes around.

I forgive but never forget!!!

I am now an ACTNOW intern and I want to make a change.

Update on ACTION 21-01-2008 09:59

On Thursday I discussed with organiser of the Talent Quest the plans for the day. Each participant will be handed promotional material of ActNow to encourage them to use the website also using material as an educational tool to show that there is a website out there which youth can relate to.

Although numbers for the event are not meeting expectations, organisers say the evening event will still go ahead and it will be entertaining and fun.

As part of my action I have decided to continue taking action after the talent quest. I am going to approach the supervisor and ask permission to create a documentary type short film, speaking with the kids and youth workers....this project will not only highlight the issues of the youth within the area, but also give insight as to where ActNow is accessed and how much these particuar kids know about the organisation.

This is however not guaranteed to happen, but I will keep you posted.

Everyone should attend the Granville Youth Talent Quest on January 24 at Granville Youth Centre!!!

If you think your talented, you should enter. If not why not just go and check it out!!!

Well things have now changed. I realised my vision was probably a bit toooo big for the amount of time we have so instead i have decided to collaborate my idea with a Talent Quest which is happening at Granville Youth Centre in January.

I still want to stick to my idea to create a more accepting community,through the youngsters, and what better way to do it then by showcasing youth talent and uniqueness.

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in. Although my plans are not yet finalised, its looking to be a great day!

I am going to attempt to organise a multicultural 'Fun workshop' working with the community youth centre. My aim is to educate, tackle the issues and build a better accepting community. Calling upon educators and different people to talk to the youth discussing issues 'On hot topic.'

Issues will include: Politics, Environmental , global understanding, and youth issues (drinking, drugs etc).Working with youth practically will create a positive vibe, a sense of closeness and connectivity amoungst the group. Youth will be encouraged to tell their own stories and voice opinions.

The workshop will highlight, tolerance, understanding and acceptance.

NOTE: This may change so keep posted!
